Financial Security for Seniors
In observance of Money Smart Week in Indiana, an event sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Sheryl Schuff, CPA and Florence Teskey, CPA are holding a special free workshop “Financial Security for Seniors” on Friday, October 22.
Topics to be discussed include
□ Avoiding Home Repair Scams
□ Safeguarding Your Identity
□ The Truth About Reverse Mortgages
The meeting will be held at Lulu’s Electric Café, 1460 W. 86th St. There is no charge and reservations are not required. There will also be an open question and answer session.
In addition to their professional experience helping clients in these areas, Schuff & Teskey are personally familiar with the issues that many families face in taking care of aging parents.
When asked about the benefits to participants who attend the workshop, Teskey said, “We’ll be giving out resource sheets and checklists for people to take home and put to use right away.” Schuff added, “The handouts will save folks hours of research time. We’ve already collected the most useful and current information while doing our everyday work and we’re happy to share the results.”
